Position Purpose
The Document Specialist position will be collecting our clients' documents based on case type from either the client or the corresponding Office of Vital Statistics.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

Work with clients to obtain all the necessary documents required for their case

Review the quality and accuracy of all documents and photos that are sent in by the client via mail or email.

Label all documents received and follow up with the client on any missing documents

Determine which documents received can be used in the submission of the client’s case

Send any documents not in English to the translation team.

Update the Document Log and enter notes in the case management system accurately and timely.

Utilize questionnaire to interview the persons who will provide the letter of support in the event the reference does not want to create it themselves.

Ensure all submitted Letters of Support match criteria

Once everything is received and reviewed, request the final review of the documents from the Paralegal assigned to the client case.

Rotate responsibility to review and process the documents email inbox with team

If needed, contact prior attorneys to obtain client files from previous immigration proceedings.

Assist with the final determination of which documents will be filed with the client’s case

Make any updates to packets as needed after the attorney review

Review returned cases to provide information to the paralegal team about rejections from USCIS.

Minimum Qualifications

Bilingual (Spanish English) –B2

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

High School diploma or equivalent experience

- Tuesday-Friday, 2pm-11pm Eastern time, Saturday 10am-7pm Eastern time
