Position Purpose

The HR Generalist role will be responsible for handling team member inquiries surrounding benefits, policies, etc.; facilitating employee relations conversations; supporting HR managers; maintaining up to date policies across platforms; and assisting with various HR functions. They coordinate with the onboarding, talent acquisition, and data teams to ensure the HR department is supporting the Firm for continued growth.

 

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

· Serve as a point of contact for team members, addressing HR-related questions regarding policies, benefits, and procedures.

· Assist in employee relations matters by conducting conversations, documenting issues, and escalating concerns when necessary.

· Act as a backup for onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes when needed to ensure a seamless team member experience.

· Maintain and update records in HRIS system, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

· Collaborate with HR leadership to implement policies, initiatives, and best practices that promote a positive workplace culture across the Firm.

· Work with outside counsel to ensure policy compliance with new workplace locations.

· Oversee performance management during onboarding as well as support the annual review cycle

· Assist in managing HR compliance, including labor laws, workplace policies, and Firm guidelines.

· Support culture coordinator and training team with training and engagement initiatives as needed.

· Manage unemployment, workers’ compensation, state paid leave programs, etc. for all office and remote US locations.

· Help support benefits administration, including open enrollment and team member inquiries.

 

Essential Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

· 2+ years of experience in an HR role, preferably as an HR Generalist or in a similar position.

· Knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and employee relations procedures.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.

· Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a high-growth environment.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

· High level of discretion and confidentiality when handling employee matters.

· HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
